Google declared the beta release of Review Extension in June, a feature that allowed advertisers to include an endorsement excerpt from a highly regarded publication into their AdWords ads. The feature is at the present being on the record rolled out to all the AdWords accounts.
Advertisers will be able to come across Review Extension option in the Ad extensions tab in their AdWords account in the coming days. A paraphrased review or a faithful quote from a publication can be incorporated in the ad. On the other hand, it may take a few days to get the Review Extensions approved.
For enhanced exposure and better flexibility, Google suggests advertisers to set one Review Extension at campaign level. Even though, submission of further than one review is allowed but the one approved will only be run in the ad. Google will be giving advanced priority to campaign level extensions than ad group level extension, so they will get reviewed quickly.
It is however important for your review to focus on business as a whole than on a specific product or service. The Review Extensions will be displayed along with other extensions, except the offer extensions.
Here is how you create these review extensions in your AdWords account:
Got to Google AdWords Review Ad Extensions
Click the Ad extensions tab, and select Review Extensions from the *View: dropdown button.
Click + Extension and select the campaign for which you want to create the extension.
Indicate if this is a paraphrased review or an exact quote, add the text, source, and source URL.
