Facebook has a limitless potential if you know how to tap into it. One thing that has always been an issue is that if you have a Facebook page and you’re not sure whether a post style is going to work or not, there was no way to check it out.
On the other hand, Facebook now has a feature called Dark Post or Unpublished Post that will allow you to do A/B testing on your future posts.
This opens up a whole range of diverse potential that could increase your effectiveness. By utilizing the Dark Post feature, you are allowing your fans to observe your post on their newsfeed without needing to post them in your own timeline. Not only will you be able to test what your audience thinks of the post but you can also A/B test ads, pictures and of course posts incorporating regions, language and a whole range of other things. The only downside? You have got to advertise your hidden posts to test them!
1. Use Power Editor
2. Create a Campaign
Click ‘Campaigns’ at the top and then ‘Create Campaign’.
Subsequently name your campaign, place a daily otherwise lifetime budget and establish beginning and end date.
3. Go to Manage Pages
Click dropdown at the upper left and choose ‘Manage Pages’.
4. Create Your Unpublished Post
Choose the name of your Page on the left hand side and subsequently click the ‘Create Post’ button at the top. Decide whether you are making a Status, Link, Photo or Video and then write the post. You can in addition target by language or location. As soon as you’re finished, click ‘Submit.’
5. Endorse Your Unpublished Post
You will recognize that your post is unpublished for the reason that there will be an icon next to it.
Select this post and click the ‘Promote’ button.
You’ll now have to to select the campaign you fashioned earlier to run your ad in.
Next go through and select the options you fancy in Creative & Placements, Audience and Advanced Options.
After that click the ‘Upload’ button at the top right of the page, and your promoted unpublished post will be submitted for review.
How do you see comments of an user?
From Power Editor, locate that post once more and click ‘View Post.’
This will allow you to see that post in Facebook.
You will in addition get notifications as you usually would when users comment on or like your post.
Unpublished posts are a great tool for your account and you only need to use them a couple of times in order to become super effective at it.
The most complicated part of this feature is locating it within the Facebook interface. Most brands should take advantage this feature before they send something out or even boost their posts or ads through Facebook’s many boosting opportunities. It makes a lot of sense for Facebook to add the Dark Post feature to the Facebook interface as it will add yet another valuable tool for brands to use.
